We are happy to announce that the Fall 2018 updates to the
PracticeWise information resources are now available. Our team is very pleased to
share the great new additions to our growing library of tools and resources
designed to help you best serve those in need of mental or behavioral health
services. Outlined below are the resource additions by primary category that
were made this update cycle.
Resource Updates
PracticeWise Evidence Based
Services Database (PWEBS)
The PracticeWise Evidence Based Services Database (PWEBS) continue
to evolve and expand. Our team has tirelessly reviewed, coded and uploaded 38
new papers and 60 new protocols since our last update and with those additions
PWEBS now covers over 1,000 research papers and 1,800 protocols.
Here is the brief summary of changes and additions to the
treatment family strength of evidence levels:

The Attention Training treatment family improved to Best Support
(Level 1).

The Parent Psychoeducation treatment family improved to Good
Support (Level 2).
•
Autism
◦
Parent Management Training and Medication was introduced as a
treatment family and achieved Good Support (Level 2).

Disruptive Behavior
◦
Mindfulness was introduced as a treatment family and achieved
Good Support (Level 2).
◦
Parent Management Training and Medication was introduced as a
treatment family and achieved Good Support (Level 2).
•
Eating
◦
Family Therapy and Usual Care was introduced as a treatment
family and achieved Moderate Support (Level 3).
•
Substance Use
◦
The Goal Setting treatment family improved to Good Support (Level
2).
Practitioner Guides
The Practitioner Guides were expanded to include a new
practice guide for Guided Imagery.
Online Courses
Our collection of online courses has expanded to include new
courses for:

Personal Safety Skills
•
The Session Planner
•
Social Skills
