Course Structure:
This course consists of four online learning modules that include instructional videos and progress questions. The learning modules are followed by a posttest and course evaluation. A Clinical Dashboard is also included with the course. A continuing education certificate is available for download after successful completion of the course.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize the key features of a Clinical Dashboard and understand its role in tracking progress, practices, and coordination of care between team members.
Identify key features of a Clinical Dashboard and recognize ways these features can improve treatment outcomes and effective communication between team members.
Navigate the PracticeWise website to access and download a variety of clinical dashboards.
Identify how to access the clinical dashboard directory and find helpful information about the clinical dashboards that will promote selection of the one most appropriate for the tracking of client data.
Understand the origins of the Clinical Dashboard for improving outcomes in youth mental health services.
Identify difference between and benefits of ongoing progress monitoring with feedback and outcome monitoring once treatment has been completed.
Specify five different types of information entered into the dashboard and describe the utility of each.
Understand how to enter data into a Clinical Dashboard in an effort to improve outcomes in youth mental health services.
Understand how data entered in each worksheet will appear in the Presentation-Results worksheet aiding visual interpretation of treatment progress and practices.
Student will be able to demonstrate how to use Clinical Dashboards to organize information about the youth, treatment progress, and practices.
Determine how to apply Clinical Dashboard data to better inform questions commonly posed in clinical decision-making.
Demonstrate accurate understanding of effective Clinical Dashboard utility to communicate progress, better understand when treatment adaptation is indicated, and facilitate consultation with another professional.
Student will be able to identify and solve common problems with a Clinical Dashboard's presentation display.
